The frequency depends on household size and tank size. Pumping intervals can range from under a year (small tank, large household) to 25+ years (large tank, small household). Call us with your tank capacity and we'll give you a real answer.
Have your tank pumped and cleaned by a TCEQ registered sludge hauler, check toilets for leaks periodically, conserve water, and avoid building over your system or driving and parking vehicles on it.
Do not build over any part of the system (driveways, barns, storage buildings, sidewalks, patios), add chemical additives or enzymes, use the toilet to dispose of tissues, cigarette butts or trash, or drive and park vehicles over the system.
An overflow of grease could clog sewer lines and cause blockages, which can result in unsanitary water backing up into surrounding homes, businesses, and streets.
